Online Bicycle Registration

UC San Diego Police partners with Transportation Services to offer online bicycle registration for students, faculty and staff.

How to Register Your Bicycle Online

  1. Go to Transportation Services online sales.
  2. Click “Get Permits.”
  3. Login using UC San Diego Single Sign-On. (Staff use Business Systems, medical center staff may use Active Directory and students use SSO.)
  4. Verify/Update your home mailing address. Note: You must pick up bicycle registration and stickers in person.
  5. Select ‘Bicycle Registration [Expires 12/31/20XX] $6.00.’
  6. Add your bicycle’s serial number, manufacturer, frame color and upload a bicycle photo (optional).
  7. Select “Pay Now” to complete your transaction.
  8. Print your receipt and keep it for your records. (You may not use your receipt as a registration.)
  9. Pick up your bike license and sticker.
    • Campus faculty, staff and students: Go to the UC San Diego Police Substation located inside Price Center East (across from Burger King) 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. weekdays
    • Hillcrest faculty and staff only: Email Bicycle Enforcement Officer, Ian Happle to have your bike license and sticker sent to Hillcrest.
  10. Attach your bike license and sticker facing forward on the bike frame below the seat.
  11. Ride safely!
