Integrity. Respect. Support. These values drive us in our mission to make UC San Diego a safe place to create, collaborate and thrive.

We serve an average daily population of 50,000 students, staff, faculty, patients and visitors, handling all patrol, investigation, crime prevention education and related law enforcement duties. Our primary jurisdiction is the university campus, which includes more than 1,200 acres and 900 buildings, plus the one-mile area surrounding the campus.

Our officers have peace officer authority anywhere in the State of California. They receive the same basic training as city and county peace officers throughout the state, plus additional training to meet the unique needs of a campus environment.

Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, we are here to serve you.
